Meet Al Patel, the new owner of our 7-Eleven store at 1025 Boulder City Parkway!
Most of you remember that this new store opened in March 2021 as a snazzy new store with all the latest bells and whistles under the ownership of Tom and Amy Carvalho. They have been owners of several franchise locations but were looking to scale back their work time. The right moment finally presented itself recently, and as of last week, this store is under new ownership!
Al is thrilled to be here for a variety of reasons. First, we all know that as convenience store locations go, this has been a well-run and favorite location for ‘gas-and-go’ needs for locals and travelers alike.
No gaming is also one of Al’s attractions, saying to us that a store in Boulder City was something he has always had his eye on. Originally from India, he immigrated with his family to the U.S. back east in 1997. Later his family relocated to the Las Vegas area, and he was running a smoke shop prior but has been looking for a location out in Boulder City for the past three years.
7-Eleven, as a corporation, has a solid reputation in the franchise industry, with most owners feeling well trained and supported by it. Tom and Amy always talked highly of their experiences with the organization, and Al is no exception.
For now, he tells us he is going to just focus on settling in – getting to know the town, his staff, and all of us better. So please swing by for a fill-up, a Slurpee or just a warm ‘Hello’ to our latest member of the Boulder City business community. We wish him well!
