Last Friday was the big 75th Anniversary event for the local Boulder City Library, and among all of the happy performances and festivities, there was also the unveiling of the architectural renderings for the proposed expansion of the Library.
This is based upon feedback from the January 31st meeting that took place where the entire community was invited to give input, share ideas and for the library to hear the needs and the desires of the Boulder City community.
And it looks like there sure were some great ones!
Some of the key improvements to note as you browse through these drawing include:
- The creation of a cafe on the main floor
- Outside areas created for both adults and youngsters
- A computer lab
- An entire youth and teen area on the lower level – each with their own activity centers
And that’s only just a few of the improvements! The One Stop Career Center is also built into the the building and there are also improvements to the amphitheater area as well.
We’re thinking that this looks to be a great improvement and a wonderful resource for all of Boulder City!
