*** POST UPDATED 11/16/2022 WITH CURRENT VOTE TOTALS ***
Tallies available from last night’s Boulder City races from the Clark County website are as follows:
- Cokie Booth – 3903 50.89%

This includes all early voting tallies and votes from in-person voting yesterday. It does not include mail ballots dropped off at polling places yesterday, as well as mail ballots to be picked up at the post office this morning. Our City Clerk Tami McKay will send daily reports to all media and officials up thru November 14th which will then end the mail-in ballot counting period. Final results will be canvassed on Friday, November 18th at 9am, and then all results will be official.
Boulder City Questions unofficial tallies are as follows:
- Question 1 (Grocery Store land sale) failing with 55% voting No versus 45% Yes
- Question 2 (Clean Energy Technology Charter Approval) currently passing narrowly with 51% voting Yes versus 49% No
- Question 3 (Police and Fire Dept. Facilities) also failing with a 55% No vote, and a 45% Yes vote
Overall voter turnout in Clark County currently shows about 45.3% of registered voters on their web site HERE. Boulder City’s registered voters currently sit at 11,460 and overall turnout in Boulder City was 65.85% currently. You can see the breakdown from the City Clerk’s report here:
Historically, Boulder City’s voter turnout is usually one of the highest in the region, and this time proved to be no exception. For example in the 2019 General Election, only 49.19% of registered voters were counted, and in 2021 we are showing only 39.96% showed up. So, we’ve already noticed comments out in social media land stating we had a low turnout, but these are the numbers that we have shown from prior recent elections.
If nothing changes over the coming week of tallying the mail-in ballots, then Cokie Booth along with Steve Walton and Joe Hardy will all be sworn onto our City Council on November 22nd. Thanks to all who worked the polls and help our democracy work!
