Just one more reason to love Boulder City – we were recently named the #60 Best Place to Travel With Your Dog! Now mind you, this is out of 567 cities studied by Reviews.com – which puts us in the top 15%, which we’re thinking is pretty cool for our small little town. The data is provided by TripAdvisor and Touropia, which of course are huge, because so many of us use these travel sites for recommendations and reviews.
They based their rankings on a number of different criteria, such as:
- the number of dog parks, trails and nearby dog-friendly beaches
- the amount of dog-friendly restaurants
- options for dog-friendly lodging
- availability of dog daycare
- availability of veterinarians or emergency pet clinics
“Boulder City residents really love their pets,” said City Manager Al Noyola. “We see this in our parks and in neighbors’ yards, and we see it through the amazing support shown to the City Animal Shelter and the fantastic programs offered there. This recognition lets others know that this community truly cares about its quality of life and we are honored and excited to receive it.”
