One of the few great things we can all say about 2020, (other than the fact that it’s nearly over) is that we got to see this major astrological event last night!
Here’s a view from the south end of town in Boulder City, sent to us by our friend and Fan, Peter Starkweather. Last night we were able to see (thank you desert clear skies) the ‘double planet’ view of Jupiter and Saturn for the first time since the middle ages.
It’s so rare that these two particular planets have had this sort of conjunction, that the last time it occurred was in 1623, but it was too close to the sun to be seen by us. So the last time it was visible from earth, was in 1226.
