Okay, Fans…let’s DO IT!
Fan Rose Whitney emailed me to let me know that a “Dear Mrs. Claus” letter writing campaign is now underway to send to Mrs. Putz — this being her first Christmas without Mr. Putz.
Below is what Rose sent to me and what is on flyers you will soon see hanging around town and in the newspaper.
Assisting in this project are the Boulder City Chamber of Commerce (the flyers, I’m guessing), Postnet (delivery address) and Boulder City Review (getting the word out) — but what they’ll all need is for you and your kids to write the actual letters to Mrs. Claus.
So even if you’ve moved away from our beloved BC, but have a moment to remember Mr. Putz to Mrs. Putz – it would be awesome if you could help!

“To all the residents of Boulder City! We all remember our dear Mr. Claus (Putz). Many of us grew up with him being the REAL Santa! From tiny tots to the adults of this town, we all have fond memories of our sweet Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus! So many of us sat on his lap and gave him our wish lists for decades.
This year, as a community, we would love to write to MRS. CLAUS to remind her, how much she means to us and for all the love that she shared as Mrs. Claus. Without Mrs. Claus baking him cookies, giving him kisses, and holding his hand at all of our town’s Christmas events, he may not have been the jolly Santa we remember.
They were a team; this season, let’s show her that she is in our hearts as well.
