Who thinks this should be called “Boulder City Underground”? Because the BEST fun Boulder City news lands in my in-box!
If you are familiar with the Best Dam Barbecue event that is held in Bicentennial Park every May, or if you watch any of the barbecue competition shows on television, then you know all about the professional barbecue competition circuit and how serious these guys are about their meats!
We have a couple of professional barbecue teams living right here in Boulder City and one of them, BBQ Junkie, has started renovations on a smokehouse joint that will open in late February/early March.
Fox Smokehouse BBQ will serve “to go” barbecue in all four categories of meats sanctioned at Kansas City Barbecue Association pro contests – ribs, chicken, brisket and pork shoulder — so ask Santa for a bib this year…cuz you’re gonna need it in a few months!
Can’t give you the location yet, but the sign is already up and these are photos that I took of BBQ Junkie’s entries at the last competition we were both at…just to get your tastebuds ready!
