Hah! The CoinStar machine at the grocery store has seen the last of my pocket change! The Boulder Dam Credit Union quietly added a coin counting machine a little while ago, although let’s be honest … there’s not much that’s quiet about ANY coin counting machine!
The best part is that its use is free for members … which means no more getting stuck with gift cards from the CoinStar machine — it’s cash for cash … at the cost of no cash! Non-members can still use the machine, btw, but for a 10% fee.
The coin machine is at the rear of the lobby – just head back toward the safe deposit box area and you’ll see it outside the giant safe door (on the right). Time to clean out the junk drawer and center console in the car, right??
