Randy Jones is one of Lend A Hand of Boulder City’s valued volunteers. We are happy to spotlight him this month. Randy tells us:
When I first moved to Boulder City about 2 1/2 years ago, I decided to volunteer with Meals on Wheels to try to get to know some people in the community here. One of the gals at the Senior Center told me about Lend a Hand, so I decided to get involved there too. I wasn’t working at the time and had lots of spare time to help in the community.
Well it wasn’t long after that I was hired by the Senior Center to help people in their homes as a handyman. My title is Coordinator of Home Safety, Maintenance, and Repair for the Senior Center. I’ve been busy ever since. I spent 28 years over in Bishop, CA as a chimney sweep and stove installer. So I’m used to working in the customer’s homes. A perfect fit for me, just kinda fell into my lap.
