We’ve been sitting on this little piece of great news for months now – and we’re thrilled to finally share that the Antique Depot (525 Avenue B) has it’s new owner: The Bertoli Family: Tara, Troy and TJ! (Not pictured is daughter Natalie who is out of town right now.)
Tara has some really exciting plans for the store which has been clearing out of its existing merchandise to make room for what lies ahead.
For starters, the Boulder City Co. Store will not carry antiques. Tara is completely changing the concept to feature souvenirs and Boulder City focused items. In fact, she’s created her own branded shirts and other items, and idea that’s been in the works since 2017. In fact, one of her goals is to revitalize the term, “Boulderite”, saying that used to be how BC locals referred to themselves.
Also of note: the lovely Daisies in the Desert will MOVE her store location inside of this new shop.
Even better, they will be ‘Proudly Serving Peet’s Coffee and Tea’. It’s about time we could get a really great cup o’Joe downtown, don’t ya think? Can’t want to enjoy an espresso hanging out at one of her little tables downtown.
For those who may not know her, Tara has lived in (and loved) Boulder City since her family moved here in 1977. Her father, Dr. Ted Leon in fact, built both of the buildings near the hospital that currently house Family Doctors of Boulder City as well as the building next door.
Tara is shooting for a July 4th opening, so let’s all wish her and her family well as they take on this fantastic new project! We can’t wait to walk through the front door, and of course we’ll keep you posted!
