2019 Dan Leach Memorial Fund Cocktail Walk and Golf Tournament

The Dan Leach Memorial Fund’s Annual Golf Tournament and Old Town Cocktail Walk is coming up starting Friday, October 11th & 12th (2019).

What’s important to note that this year will be the final year of the Golf Tournament. The fund will remain and continue to sponsor it’s children’s activities far into the future. The Cocktail Walk will continue, as well as their other fundraising efforts. Here is the scoop for this year’s event:

The Cocktail Walk on kicks off on Friday at 8pm at Two Wheels Park (corner of Nevada Way & Wyoming) and also includes live music (Adena Sampson) so the party can continue there after folks have hit the participating libation locations (Boulder Dam Brewing Company, Jack’s Place, Milo’s Wine Cellar, The Dillinger, Evan’s Old Town Grille and The Tap).

The Golf Tournament, Dinner & Auction are the following day at Boulder Creek Golf Course & Club (1pm tee time & 5pm dinner). You can find out more about both the Cocktail Walk and the Golf Tournament (and register for the latter online) by CLICKING HERE.

“The Dan Leach Memorial Fund was founded in 2009 after Boulder City resident and Las Vegas Metropolitan Corrections Officer passed away in the line of duty. An active member of the Boulder City community, Dan’s passion for coaching young children inspired his family friends to honor his legacy with the Dan Leach Memorial Fund. To honor Dan’s philosophy that involving young children in activity has significant and positive influences, The Dan Leach Memorial Fund’s mission is to provide the financial means for children in our community to get involved in whatever youth activity inspires them. In the past eight years, the fund has contributed over $128,000 to the community’s youth.

Run completely by volunteers, the amount we have been able to contribute to support our community has been heartwarming and rewarding to all of us. Whether it has been through a sporting activity, music, art, dance, or anything else, watching these young children be able to participate in what they love and enjoy doing, makes us all so proud, and we know we are honoring Dan and making him proud too.”

That’s quite an accomplishment – and Boulder City thanks you for what you do!
