The Boulder City Senior Center just last week has received approvals for their Board of Directors to begin being open for lunch service only, starting October 1st.
Right now this is all subject to current conditions of coronavirus cases locally and the rules and regs. They will need to be in compliance with all OSHA regulations as well as a slew of other State, City and Dept. of Health and Human Services, etc.
Lunch services will only available for 50 people at a time. A reservation WILL be required by calling 702-293-3320 in advance each and every morning. Their intention is to keep this fair so that all who wish to come may have the chance to do so. Doors will open at 11:15, and folks will need to queue up outside in a line, distanced at 6 feet apart.
Victoria Mason, Executive Director says, “I know there will be some of you who feel nervous about having lunch here at the Center so anyone wanting to continue our Meals on Wheels program is welcome to do so through at least January. Just know that we missed you all very much, and we are looking forward to seeing you! If anyone has any questions you may call the Center Monday through Friday from 8-2. Thank you for your patience with us during the transition to full capacity.”
We’re thrilled to see this local and beloved institution in town start to find their new ‘normal’ and allowing our seniors to gather for a meal and some fellowship!
