Sad day in Hemenway Park yesterday. Because about 10 Bighorn Sheep have been found dead recently in the River Mountains (between Henderson and Lake Mead), wildlife officials had to catch an ill ewe for euthanization.
The concern is that there is a deadly strain of pneumonia making its way through the herd and unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is to capture a sick animal and run a battery of tests.
