Remember the “sister page” we started on Facebook that would be 100% devoted to helping reunite found companion pets with their found humans and to help get the word out on pets waiting on Forever Homes at the Boulder City Animal Shelter?
Well, the community’s support of Boulder City Paws ‘n’ Claws has made it so successful with reunions and adoptions, we extended the list of great things we could do with it going forward.
We’ll start off with developing a cost-effective micro-chipping program (to help our reunion efforts), followed by a spay/neuter program that will allow us to have pets in the shelter spayed/neutered (in a Las Vegas clinic, not on-site) prior to adoption, making it so much more affordable for them to BE adopted. And there’s more in the works … but we’ll save that for another day!
Of course, our reunion and adoption programs were expense-free, but our micro-chip and spay/neuter program won’t be – so in the past few months, we’ve gone ALL OUT by forming a Board of Directors, creating a Nevada non-profit corporation, and applying for AND JUST RECEIVING our 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the IRS, meaning that we are now eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions.
We just launched our website at www.bouldercitypawsnclaws.com so you can find out more information about what we’re all about … you can do that by CLICKING HERE! Here we go!
