What do a dog, a guitar, and a laundromat all have in common?
Bryan Haraway – the new owner of Sudz Laundry – is the answer!
We stopped by for a chat last week to see what they’ve been up to – which is quite a lot in a very short time.
They’ve made repairs to the machines inside and have added 4 new ones. They offer Fluff & Fold service and you can drop off your dry cleaning with a 2-business day turn around on that service too. They even have an after hours drop with a code they give you.
But what is more fun is that most days M-F you’ll also be greeted by Pearl, their 6 year-old Chihuahua. Not only that, but father Chuck might be on hand, and we’ve learned the entire family is pretty creative.
Bryan is also a musician in the band ‘Part Time Criminals’ which has played a few local spots such as The Dillinger. He’s also a retired professional photographer, from the likes of places like the Mandalay Bay and Getty Images, nonetheless. (Oh, and by the way that’s not at all intimidating or anything when this amateur shows up to take pics of his joint, no…not at all!)
And…because if you’re doing laundry for a few hours, why not chill out? They’ve got ‘The Sudz Lounge’ on the side where you can watch the game on TV and yep, that’s a guitar there in the corner with an amp set up. Bryan says, “you need to play either really good, or really bad, since that’s the most fun to listen too!” (We’d be in the second camp on that one…)
Sudz Laundry is located at 1406 Boulder City Parkway (formerly Nevada Hwy.) and the coin-op laundry facilities are open 6:30am-9pm daily. The Lounge and dry cleaning side are open M-F 8am-6pm. Stop by and say ‘Hi!’ to the new owners!
