On January 4th, 1960 Boulder City officially became an incorporated town, and it’s first mayor, a local pharmacist Robert N. Broadbent took office.
As most of you know, our roots lie as a ‘company town’ originally built in 1931 by the Six Companies, Inc. and the Bureau of Reclamation as a federal reservation.
The Boulder City Act in 1959 declared the town an independent municipal government, and we have held the reigns as an independent town, ever since.
So, tip a glass or your hat today, towards Boulder City and our 58th Birthday, and wish us all a great year ahead!
