OK – we certainly understand that pedestrian safety is a real issue, and we definitely want all of our residents and visitors to be able to walk our town and feel safe – regardless of age or ability.
But…when the RTC study demonstration changes were put in at the corner of Nevada Way and Wyoming Street here in Boulder City, we gotta say it was an interesting experience! And we just couldn’t help but chuckle as one after another of the plastic pylons went down. As of now, they are almost all down except the center signs noting the crosswalks.
Boulder City was one of 5 locations chosen from around the Las Vegas Valley.

Results will be tallied in January, and then the final report will be released in February. No word on what will happen with this intersection in the meantime.
