We just can’t WAIT for this year’s Dillinger Block Party that actually teams up with the Historic Preservation Day happening on Saturday, May 11th! So get your dancing shoes and party hats on (and your sunscreen) and get ready for a great time!
Access to the block party is free and all-ages. This year’s event will feature live bands, vinyl DJs, food trucks, vendors, and hilarious attractions like the Best Dog on the Block Contest, Dad Noise Competition, and of course the Beer Drinking Contest. It looks to be a party like none other!
The block party also serves as a fundraiser for the nonprofit Shane Patton Foundation, which provides scholarships to local high school students.
This year, the event is the final destination on the city-wide Historic Preservation Day celebration. At 3:00 there will be a parade led by the BCHS Marching Band down California Street (BC’s original parade route) that will end in front of the stage.
We’ll see you all there!
