As if our Boulder City Little League team didn’t already have enough to celebrate by becoming the State Champs this past weekend (if you missed it, see it here)! But even more awesome, is that the President of our Little League, Katie Kilar has been named the Little League Mom of the Year by Little League International – as in that’s an honor for the entire US! Katie tells us, “It’s very flattering but I’ve been trying to keep the attention on the kids and their accomplishments this season. My daughter, Aubrey (she’s 11) nominated me and her letter was very touching — so much that we won. My husband, her two brothers and I will be traveling to Williamsport for the Little League World Series where I will receive my award.”

We hear the town has rallied behind the effort to get the team to San Jose on Friday, and Katie says she is so grateful to all who have supported them. (Way to go Boulder City!)
This sure does make one feel blessed all around that we have such remarkable people in this town we love and call home – and fortunate we live in a great community that rallies to support such great kids and adults alike!
