Just like about everything in 2020, the pandemic has caused delays, but we’re thrilled to share that the newest option in town for child care is now open – welcome owner Patti Jack and the Jack and the Beanstalk!
Located downtown at 1304 Wyoming, construction on this new building began all the way back in 2019, and we first introduced you to Patti in this article HERE. She has big plans for this new venture in it’s 4,000 square feet of room.
It was looking like she might be open by the end of summer, but delays at the state level in getting all of her licenses squared away have taken so much more time than anticipated, she opened finally just this week! Whew!
To remind you from some of our earlier posts, here’s the scoop on this new operation and some more background information:
Patti has several degrees, specializing in Early Childhood Education. She emphasizes that this center will focus on ‘child care’ and not just ‘babysitting’. Meaning that these youngsters in their care, will also be learning during their time, involved in a variety of activities based upon their ages. All of the staff will be made up of licensed child care workers.
Hours of operation are from 6am to 11:30pm. Currently they have 5 teachers on staff, and the ability to hire more quickly. They also have their own transport vehicle, parked out front you see.
If you haven’t toured the building, it’s lovely! You can get a peek here, and see the colorful rooms and equipment, divided by age range. They are capable of taking in infants from as young as 6 weeks, to 10 years of age, and they are doing tours now for interested parents. To get a tour, you can email Patti at pattianne.jack@gmail.com, or check out their Facebook page and give them a call at (702) 293-4769.
Congratulations and we’re so glad to see yet another new business open in town, and see these dreams finally fulfilled!
