You can help the kids “get their grill on” by sponsoring a $100 grill at the 2011 KidsQue Challenge of the Best Dam Barbecue, held here in Boulder City on Memorial Day Weekend.
An extremely popular event last year, the KidsQue Challenge is for the fun and advancement of barbecuing skills for kids from 6 to 17 years of age. The sponsor (Winder Farms) and the hosts (Memphis Barbecue, Channel 13 and KOMP 92.3) want all of the kids to have a fun and safe experience, which is not difficult to do, as beginners and all levels of cooking experience are encouraged to participate on teams of up to 3 kids. This year, there will be two distinct age groups (ages 6 – 12 and ages 13 – 17) grilling up some of the best tasting chicken this side of the Mason-Dixon line and they’re lookin’ for businesses and individuals to sponsor their grills for $100 each.
