While trolling the aisles of Albertsons the other day, I spied a new piece of machinery that clearly needed investigation…and well, you know me.
It was one of those “Auto Coffee Barista” machines that was grinding beans and serving up Lattes & Cappuccinos right there in the middle of the store. And there was a plaque for Colorado River Coffee Roasters on the front — so you know it’s a local BC business being supported…nice.
The website address on the machine was for a company called Java Works, so I looked that up when I got home and found out that it’s yet another Boulder City-based business…so this is a tri-fecta discovery of supporting local business…Albertson’s, Colorado River Coffee Roasters & Java Works.
Java Works provides the machines for businesses who want to provide their employees fresh ground gourmet coffee drinks in the workplace…and in Albertsons’ case — customers can use the machine, as well. Java Works supplies and services the machines and there’s a variety of neato tricks it can do as far as pricing per cup (such as setting the hours the machine works for free if you want people to come in early). Nice incentive to be on time to work, eh?
Rumor has it that another machine is over at the Central Market and that Java Works is interested in placing more machines around Boulder City. So if it’s an automated gourmet coffee solution you are needing…you can find out more info on the whole kit & kaboodle on their website by clicking here. There’s also a demo video here.
