Last week, the board of the Southern Nevada Water Authority was asked to extend the completion date of the third intake from this coming May (2014) to July of 2015.
Henry Brean’s article in the Las Vegas Review Journal (which you can read by CLICKING HERE) reports that this 13 month delay is because the general contractor has said it needs more time because the conditions underground are much worse than anticipated.
