I know we have all sorts of goings-on in “Historic Downtown Boulder City”, but to be truthful, I didn’t have a full grasp of where that was until today.
The Boulder City Hoover Dam Museum sent over some information about the Bronze Historic District Plaque program and with it, a map of what area of town IS actually on the National Registry of Historic Places…aka, our Historic District!
Below is the map and you can click on it for a larger PDF version. It looks like Fifth Street is the general boundary on the south side…so think Southwest Diner and beyond into Downtown Boulder City.
If you happen to own a building within this area, you could bling it out with a bronze plaque that looks pretty sweet. They are oval and 10″ x 7′, cost $200 and take 5-8 weeks to receive. There is one on display at the museum (which is who you order them through), so you can give them a holler if you have any questions!
