Boulder City United Methodist Church and the American Cancer Society will sponsor “Bark for Life,” a family fun activity where our canine friends will walk for a cure for cancer. The event will be held at Veteran’s Memorial Park from 9 am to 1 pm Saturday, September 20th.
A mini-version of the ACS Relay for Life held in the spring, activities will include an opening ceremony, a survivors’ lap for both canine and human cancer survivors, a costume contest for dogs, an owner-dog look-alike contest, musical sits, and other fun activities. Food booths will be available for hungry visitors, and local animal service providers and others will provide informational booths.
Registration is $20 per dog and will include a Bark for Life bandana plus a bag of canine goodies and offers. To register and for more information, see www.relayforlife.org/barkbouldercitynv.
