You might have noticed a new collection bin show up last week in the Vons parking lot – it’s a new location for donations to Ameriway Charities, the thrift store and provider of social services that recently opened in Boulder City.
The donation bin is an unmanned unit – but there are instructions on it to just open the rolling door to drop off your donation and then secure it behind you – so that’s easy enough.
If you have items that are too large to bring in, you can call them at (702) 293-0961 and they’ll send their truck to pick up your donation.
The thrift store, which opened a couple of months ago, is located at 728 Canyon Road and has apparently already expanded into the space next door.
Founder Paul Tarantino says he’s been taking referrals for assistance from Boulder City Emergency Aid and the scope of assistance they provide seems to range from emergency assistance to household emergencies, based on the information on their website, which you can visit by CLICKING HERE.
Ameriway Charities is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
