The 27th Annual Wurst Festival is Saturday, September 30th from 10AM to 8PM at Bicentennial Park and our mouths are already watering for bratwurst and cold beers! The beer garden opens at 10:30am, with the food trucks and grilled bratwurst serving up beginning soon after.
The Live Auction runs from 3:30pm – 6pm. You’ll have all of the great classic cars from the folks at BC Cruisers plus this year will be an expanded Antiques section for those looking for treasures. So there’s lots to see and do!
From 10am – 1pm, Boulder City’s resident DJ and Master of Ceremonies, Mike Pacini will be chattin’ up the crowd and spinning your favorite tunes. In the afternoon and early evening enjoy live entertainment from two different performers.
From 1-3pm, enjoy music from the Whisky Fiddlers. Not your Da’s Irish band. A blend of Irish and popular music and everything in between and led by Marty Feick, a seasoned veteran singer/guitar player, who has supported national acts such as .38 Special and Modern English, the Whisky Fiddlers’ performances are fueled by sophisticated guitar looping and dueling improvisation between members. Violinist Megan Wingerter is conservatory-trained powerhouse fiddle player who has played with artists such as Michael Buble and Phantom of the Opera star, Sarah Brightman. Sarah Chaffee is a conservatory-trained cellist who composes and arranges music for artists all over the world and is a member of David Perrico’s Pop Strings who is the house band for the Las Vegas Raiders. Sarah has graced the stage with Aerosmith during their last Las Vegas residency. Currently, Mcmullan’s Irish Pub in Las Vegas is home to the Whisky Fiddlers every Saturday night
In the evening from 6-8pm enjoy Steven Raper who performed also at the Best Dam BBQ this May. Steven is a Las Vegas veteran musician whose versatile performance includes acoustic versions of classic folk, country, reggae, and alternative songs with live looping and killer leads. Steven is also the founding member of local rock band, Heroine Honey.
This year they are announcing some new improvements to the traditional bratwurst food – you will get your brat in an authentic ‘Brotchen’ or fresh German hard roll, and also have additional sides such as peppers and onions, sauerrkraut, plus chips and a drink – all for just $10! Kids, or non-bratwurst fans can get a hot dog, chips and drink for only $5. German pretzels are also available for $5. And of course you can get yourself a cold craft beer or a margarita for only $5 as well!
Also different this year will be that you can purchase tickets for food and drink via credit card (or cash) for sale in their own separate booth area, or cold hard cash at the beer both. Food is only available for purchase with a ticket.
Remember, it’s always for a great cause to fund Boulder City Sunrise Rotary projects around town, including the most famous drug-and-alcohol-free All Night Grad Party for the BCHS graduating class. Don’t be afraid to go a little crazy – all times and other info are on the flyer for you below. We’ll see you there Boulder City!
