A few weeks ago quite a bit of fuss was created by a rumor that got started (sources are uncertain…) that the vacant office building located at 1404 Colorado Street would be turned into a homeless shelter. That is not true.
Please meet Mark Miyaoka and Arielle Duave who acquired the building and have been awaiting their final approvals on their plans, and are now about ready to begin remodeling the interior. The building has two floors and a split level parking lot. For the lower level they plan to focus on primary care medical office space along with mental health services. The upper floor will be available as independent office rental space, and will also include some small conference meeting capabilities.
Mark is the former CEO of Silver State Health and has extensive experience in the medical community. They say they should be able to get started within the next six months and are looking to really be involved in Boulder City. If you’re interested in what outreach is being done for the un-housed persons in our area, please check out last week’s article HERE.
