SeeClickFix App For City Service Requests Pretty Cool

SeeClickFix App Boulder City, Nevada

We’ve known about this since March, as The City announced this cool new feature, right before the whole COVID-19 situation exploded and took over our lives. So, our apologies for not getting around to this story sooner.

The City is now part of the SeeClickFix App that you can download onto your phone for free on the App Store, or use via the City’s web site HERE. It allows you to report any issue to the City that is quality of life related, such as: property complaints, sidewalk or street repairs, irrigation leaks, water waste, street lights, junk or maintenance complaints or other related issues.

You can view the above in two ways – as a map, or a list of the current items. Red dots are new issues, green dots are issues that have been acknowledged and blue dots mean they are completed. When you submit, you can do it anonymously if you wish and can elect to receive follow up emails as updates are given on the item.

We used it today, and found it super easy to submit. We noticed that there was a lot of water running down into the flood control/mixed use walk and bike lane next to Boulder City Pkwy. when headed down towards the lake. There was a LOT of water (our dog decided it was the perfect spot to lie down and cool off…) but my concern was what was broken or causing the issue. We took a look and realized it is actually related to a watering issue at one of the condos in the area.

So, we thought we’d give this nifty new tool a try, and have to say found it super easy to download, navigate and set up. Within a few minutes we were able to report the problem, and hope they can reach out to the property managers and get it solved.

Connecting this platform came at the request of Mayor McManus and we have to say this one is a big win that we hope more people will use, and that it helps the City track issues and solve them more quickly too. Thanks guys!
