Aaaah…you know summer is really here when you see the Fireworks booths going up in parking lots around town!
I checked with my peeps and am told that they’ll be on sale in 3 locations again this year — the Boulder City High School Band will be raising funds for their program in the parking lots of both Vons and Albertsons…and the Rainbow Girls will be raising funds in the parking lot of McDonald’s again this year.
By law, fireworks in the state of Nevada can only be sold from June 28th through July 4th and the ones marked “Safe and Sane” are the only type that can legally be sold or used in Clark County. But remember this — even the legal Safe and Sane ones become illegal if USED outside of the dates of 6/28 – 7/4 — so if you buy ’em…use ’em! Lastly – NO types of fireworks are permitted on federal property – so don’t make plans to shoot them off down at Lake Mead.
