I didn’t know much about the motocross sport in Boulder City, I’ll be honest. So little, in fact, that I thought the track was in Veteran’s Memorial Park…nice, how uninformed I am…right? But NOW I’m a bit more up to speed (hah, get it?)…and know that we’re talking about a pretty sizable 50-acre space out in the El Dorado Valley (not too far from the solar facilities).
So…we know the lease with the former track operators was terminated, but it seems that City wants to keep a motocross track available as a recreational sport offered in/near Boulder City — so they are again actively looking for a qualified motocross track operator to bring it back to BC. I looked at the former operator’s Facebook page to see that it had almost 700 Fans – so it looks to me like there is a pretty good following to having a track out here, right? And from a web search, it looks like Mesquite and Sandy Valley are the closest tracks now?
