This is one of those cases where sensationalistic news makes the front page of every paper and news outlet…but the “well, not really” article gets buried, I think.
Seems we DON’T have a problem with asbestos surrounding our lovely little town and per this article on the Las Vegas Sun’s website, “workers could safely cut the highway through the hills around Boulder City because the asbestos, discovered by UNLV geologists in 2011, did not reach harmful levels.”
Didn’t see THIS make the I-Team’s list for coverage in the 6 and 11 clock news, probably because it’s actually GOOD news…LOL!
