Did you know that coyotes are in it for the long haul? It seems they mate for life and are totally monogamous, so says The Natural History of the Urban Coyote in the interesting online article that you can read by CLICKING HERE.
Also, they are omnivores who will happily feast on ripe berries, vegetables, fallen fruit and other healthy goodies. That’s why if you’re interested in keeping coyotes out of your yard, it is important to remove all food and water sources including cleaning up around any fruit and nut trees, berry vines, vegetable patches, under the bird feeder and anything else that might be considered food.
If you’re diggin’ all the coyote facts and want to learn more about the ones living in our neck of the woods (okay, desert), you can join a ranger at the Boulder Beach Amphitheater tomorrow (May 13th, 2016) at 4:30 pm to learn more about the wily and opportunistic coyote.
