The local Boulder City Sunrise Rotary group has partnered with the Southern Nevada Chapter of Blue Star Mothers on a project they’re calling “Packages 4 Our Patriots”.
They are seeking donations of funds, and specific items that will create 100 packages to be sent out to arrive around the 4th of July, to troops deployed in the Middle East.
A list of items that are specifically requested are below on the flier. The cost of shipping the packages is being paid for by Nevada Energy, and the physical packaging will be done on May 24th.
Donations are still needed for physical items as well as funding to purchase items that aren’t donated. However beyond funds, the group is also looking for letters/cards of appreciation that can be sent to the soldiers, and are always valued by them.
According to the Blue Star Mother’s Chapter President, Melissa Clipper, “we’re grateful for any donations we can receive, and no donation is too small.”
