Just in case there is a chance that someone out there doesn’t know the GREAT things that Lend A Hand offers to the senior (60+) and disabled residents of Boulder City let me tell you!! Lend A Hand offers FREE, (yes I said FREE), services to our clients. There is NO charge to become a client either! Can you believe how GREAT that is?! Lend A Hand is blessed to have over 75 WONDERFUL, AMAZING, CARING, FRIENDLY volunteers that want nothing more than to “lend a hand” and maybe get a smile and a thank you for their caring nature. Lend A Hand offers a wide range of services. Our escorted transportation to medical appointments is our most popular service. There’s no bus to wait for. It’s an individual ride with a caring volunteer. Our volunteers not only drive you to Boulder City medical appointments but to Henderson, Las Vegas and North Las Vegas too!
We also have many other services that you may not know about. We offer respite for caregivers…companionship (Talk, play a game, watch a movie…)…In-Home services include light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming, no bathrooms)…we can do your laundry, check your mail, take your trash/recycle to the curb and return the empty cans, take you grocery shopping in Boulder City or pick up a list and do the shopping for you…help you run your errands in Boulder City…Read to you…light home maintenance (changing air filters, light bulbs)…go for a walk with you and maybe even walk your dog! SO much and there’s more!!
