You know you’ve officially become a ‘local’ Boulder City-ite when you’ve hiked down to the hot springs at Gold Strike Canyon. If you’re not born and raised here, it’s a right of passage. It implies that you’re accepted once and for all, and are considered one the ‘cool kids’ if you’ve made the descent down this challenging passageway, to soak up all that warm water goodness.
And now, Travel Nevada knows about it too! They just featured it in their Travel Nevada article sharing 10 Nevada Hot Spring Pairings – Adventurous Taste Required!
In the article, they also talk about Black Canyon River Adventures who offer guided tours from the bottom of the river. You can also climb UP a very challenging hike from the river to the hot springs, although personally, we’ve never been brave enough to try it.
