Boulder City Library Events for March 2024

The Boulder City Library springs into March with some fun events and activities for every member of the family. Whether you sign up to learn to make your own ramen, or drop into a story time, or visit a Friends of the Library event, there are a number of things available to do this month!

The Library will be closed Wednesday, March 27 for Staff Development Day and Sunday, March 31 for Easter Sunday. The library’s regular hours are Monday thru Thursday, from 10:00AM to 8:00PM and Friday thru Sunday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. The library has a website, which you can access by clicking HERE. There are eBooks, magazines, movies, music, and more available 24/7!

Ages 0-5 Programs
  • Tuesdays at 10:30AM: Toddler Tuesday Storytime: Ages 1-3 and Caregiver, Board Room. Join us for stories, songs, And a coloring sheet.
  • Thursdays at 9:30AM: Early Risers Lapsit Storytime: Ages 0-2 and Caregiver, Board Room. Join us for stories and songs.
  • Fridays at 10:30AM: Drop In Storytime: Ages 0-5 and Caregiver, Board Room. Join us for stories, songs, and crafts.
Ages 6-11 Programs
  • Youth Yoga Will be back in April
  • Tuesdays, 3/12 & 3/26 at 3:30PM: Lego Building Challenge: Community Room. We provide the Legos, you provide the imagination!
  • Saturday, March 16 at 1:00PM: Youth Handsewing: Board Room. Learn about sewing and make something to take home! Sign-ups Required.
Family Programs
  • Wednesday, March 13 at 2:00PM: Vaccination Clinic with SNHD in the Community Room.
  • Monday, March 18 at 2:00PM: Homeschool Hangout: Community Room. Learn from other Homeschooling families in the community.
Ages 12-18 Programs
  • School Days at 2:30PM: Teen Time: teen Area. Color, play board games, and hang out with your friends.
  • Tuesdays at 2:30PM: Roleplayers Guild: The Wild Beyond the Witchlight Dungeons and Dragons 5e: Nevada Room. No Sign-ups Required.
Makerspace Classes
  • Sundays, 3/3 & 3/17 at 11:00AM: Cricut Certification Class: Makerspace. Sign ups required.
  • Mondays, 3/4 & 3/18 at 3:30PM: Button Maker & Die Cut Certification Class: Makerspace. Sign ups required.
  • Tuesdays, 3/5 & 3/19 at 3:30PM: Laser Engraver Certification Class: Makerspace. Sign ups required.
Tech Teachers
  • Tech teachers are available in March to sign-up for a one-on-one time, please visit the information desk or call the library at 702-293-1281. Tech Teachers are available on Tuesdays & Wednesday at 1:00PM and 2:00PM and Thursdays 12:00PM and 1:00PM.
Friends of the Library
  • March 9 at 4:00PM to 8:00PM, the Friends will be at the Wine Walk at the Boulder Dam Hotel with “Hidden Treasures”.
  • March 16 at 10:00AM to 12:00PM and 2:00PM the Friends will be giving away books at the Story Time Train.
  • March 16 at 11:00AM to 2:00PM: Visit the Friends Table at the 4th Annual “Rock, Roll, and Stroll”.
  • March 21 at 6:00PM to 7:00PM: Meeting in the Basement to learn “How to Value a Book”.
  • March 23 at 10:00AM: Friends will be at “Flow Fest”.
Ages 18+ Programs
  • Tuesdays at 2:30PM: Crochet for A Cause: Board Room
  • Fridays at 1:00PM: Easy Does It Yoga: Ages 18+, Community Room.
  • Tuesdays, 3/12 & 3/26 at 10:00AM: Cut-Ups Quilting: Community Room.
  • Tuesday, March 12 at 6:00PM: Come Write In: Community Room. Join us for this creative writing workshop. All skill levels welcome.
  • Wednesday, March 13 at 11:30AM Becca’s Book Club: Ages 18+, Community Room.
  • Saturday, March 16 at 11:00AM: Ancestry Club: All Ages, Community Room. Learn from others as you research your family history.
  • Saturday, March 16 at 2:00PM: How Not To Burn Toast: Homemade Ramen: Community room. Sign-ups required.
  • Sunday, March 17 at 2:00PM: Fiber Arts Club: Ages 16+, Community Room. Learn from others and work on your projects with friends.
  • Wednesday, March 20 at 6:00PM Library Board of Trustees Meeting: Board Room.
  • Thursday, March 21 at 6:00PM to 7:30PM Crochet Skills Class: Stitch TBD: Community Room. Sign-ups required.
  • Saturday, March 23 at 1:00PM: Mixed Media Art: Community Room. Sign-ups required.
  • Saturday, March 23 at 1:00PM: Intro to Songwriting: Board Room, Ages 13+.
