The City of Boulder City announced on Monday that the free Moderna vaccine would be available to residents eighteen and older beginning April 5. Interested persons are required to make an appointment (no walk-ups accepted) by calling the City’s Parks and Recreation Department at (702) 293-9256. Appointments can be made Monday thru Thursday from 8:00AM to 3:00PM. You must speak with an appointment scheduler directly (voicemails, emails and calls to other staff are not accepted).
The vaccines will continue to be administered at two sites: either the Elaine K Smith Building or Boulder City Hospital as determined by City staff.
Residents ages 16-17 who wish to be vaccinated are encouraged to contact their primary health care provider or a local retail pharmacy to obtain vaccines appropriate for their age. The Moderna vaccine is only for people aged 18 and older.
