The Wetlands Trail in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area has just reopened after a 3-year closure!
Hiking enthusiasts throughout the area have long loved this moderate 1.5-mile roundtrip hike, located just off the Northshore Road, placed right after mile marker one.
The hike winds down a hill towards a dry wash and is great for bird watching, according to the National Park Service!
Note, that especially during the hotter summer months, you’ll want to start out early, avoiding the hottest parts of the day, and of course have plenty of water!
