City Council Meeting to be Held April 14

City Counci lMeeting April 14 Boulder City, NV

The City Council will have a regular meeting on next Tuesday, April 14th at 7pm, but with a virtual method for the public comment portion of the meeting.

The meeting with be carried via the live stream that is available on the City’s website HERE. The Council members themselves will not all sit on the dais and will be spread out at least 6 feet apart. None of the general public will be allowed to attend, due to the fact that with the Governors orders, City Hall is closed to residents at least until April 30th.

However, the City has created some clever ways for the public comment process, which is required by law, to still happen, virtually. Public comment can be done as follows, per the press release sent out yesterday:

1. PREFERRED METHOD: Submit via the online public comment form at www.bcnv.org/council – comments will be read into the public record
2. Call and leave a message at 702.293.9210 – comments will be played into the public record
3. Call City Hall’s Council Chambers Conference line at 702.589.9629 during the comment portion of the meeting to speak live

For residents who don’t have access to a computer, they are asking them to head to the Elaine K. Smith Bldg. (700 Wyoming Street) which will be open to the first nine individuals who will need to sit the required 6 feet apart, and can then comment only via cell phone to call into the meeting.

As always, the Council meeting will be recorded and made available after via YouTube and BCTV.

HERE is a copy of the Agenda, for those who are interested. We’re glad to see the City being creative and finding ways to still forge ahead with normal city matters so that as needs arise within the community, they can still be addressed.
